June Story Seeds 06/03/2008

The June set of story seeds are here. The picture seeds will at least give you some photos of sunshine to look at.  And if it buckets down all month, we hope these will inspire you to write while you're holed up indoors.

We hope you're all enjoying your installments of free Friday fiction. If you're feeling inspired by the super-short form, you might be interested in the "What's your story?" competition run by Waterstone's.

Download a postcard template, write (and illustrate) your story, scan it and upload it. Or you can enter online, with a a limit of 600 characters - a real flash challenge!

For more details see the official site:

Starting this Friday, we'll be following the example set by the intrepid and generous Friday Flash Fictioneers. We'll be taking it in turns to post a new piece of fiction every Friday of 1000 words or fewer on our new "Friday Flash" page. You can sign up to have the stories sent to you by RSS feed. Enjoy!

We've added a link to Million Monkeys to our Useful Links page.

This loosely structured group is all about getting writers writing, although socialising is an added bonus. No membership, no commitment, just turn up and write.

If you're not London based, start your own branch and stay in touch with fellow monkeys through the Facebook group.
